Clinics We Offer

Chronic Disease

As part of the Government’s Quality Outcome Framework the practice offers a full range of chronic disease monitoring, to help you control your condition.

We do require you to attend for regular reviews of your condition annually. Reviews are generally linked with your birth month to make it easier to remember. It is important that we work together to keep you healthy so please ensure you respond to our requests to come in for your reviews.  Some conditions will require you to have a blood test at the practice approximately 1 week prior to your review.  The receptionist will be able to advise you on this.

Diabetes

Patients who have recently been diagnosed with diabetes will need to see the doctor and practice nurse a few times in the first few months. During this time patients and carers will be given support, information and advice about managing diabetes. This will involve some blood tests being done at the surgery but these will be kept to a minimum.

Minor Surgery & Cryotherapy

  • Cryotherapy - The term cryotherapy literally means ‘treatment using low temperature’ and refers to the removal of some skin lesions by freezing them. A wide variety of superficial benign (non-cancerous) lesions can be treated with cryotherapy such as viral warts and verrucae.
  • Minor Surgery- Certain minor surgical procedures can be performed by our Doctors on the premises. This may be more convenient for you and may save considerable time waiting for hospital treatment.  Dr Linton runs a weekly clinic and Dr U Ahmed is able to do some joint injections.
