Should there be any queries regarding your request you will be contacted to discuss and therefore this may cause a delay in processing your prescription. Please allow 3 working days for your prescription to be actioned.
How do I get my prescription:
Your doctor will usually give you your first prescription which will have 2 parts. The GREEN slip is the actual prescription which you give to the pharmacist to obtain your medication. The White side shows the list of drugs that you can order as repeat issues. Please keep this as you need to order more medication.
PLEASE NOTE: AS OF TUESDAY 1st MAY 2018 REPEAT PRESCRIPTION REQUESTS ARE NO LONGER ACCEPTED BY TELEPHONE
Please refrain from telephoning the surgery for repeat prescriptions as this can block the line used for emergencies.
There are 5 other ways in which you can order a repeat prescription:
Online - complete the online form on the surgery website - see reception for an application form to register for online access.
Post - By sending it to the practice directly. If you require the prescription to be sent back, you should include a stamped self addressed envelope with your request.
White slip attached to your prescription - Tick the relevant boxes and place your request into the dedicated repeat prescription box in the practice's waiting room.
Request slip available in reception - Place your request into the dedicated repeat prescription box in the practice's waiting room.
Pharmacy - Register with your local pharmacy who can request/dispense and deliver your medications.
*It is important that you order your repeat prescription at least 48 hours prior to running out of your medication.
**We cannot accept verbal requests for repeat prescriptions at the Reception Desk. This breaks medical in confidence regulations. However, our receptionists are there to help you so if you do need to order a prescription at the surgery, a receptionist will print out a repeat prescription for you and you can use this to make an official request.
